WITTE:digital Brings Together Leading Minds in Mobility and Technology

How will we open, share, and manage vehicles in the future – digitally, securely, and across manufacturers? On March 25, WITTE:digital, the Digital Business Unit of WITTE Automotive, welcomed over 50 experts from OEMs, mobility providers, tech companies, and fleet operators to Düsseldorf to discuss the future of access solutions under the theme "Future of Mobility & Digital Keys."

The event’s goal: to share insights, present best practices, and launch new collaborations around digital key standards.

Industry Expert Insights

  • Dr. Martin Westerkamp (Spherity) explained how Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and the EUDI Wallet will revolutionize fleet management.
  • Marc Manninger (Car Connectivity Consortium) offered a glimpse into the future of interoperable key standards with his talk "Beyond the Key Fob."
  • Julius Meyer (Mobility Data Space) showcased the potential of shared data usage within the mobility sector.
  • Peter Altmann (Amadeus) highlighted how mobility can seamlessly integrate into the overall travel experience.
  • Michael Tüllmann & Annika Sänger-Acevedo presented WITTE:digital’s initiative to create an open, interoperable digital key platform.

A key moment: The panel discussion moderated by Annika Sänger-Acevedo, featuring fleet experts Arjan Vlaskamp (AMAG, Switzerland), Colm Brady (Rentalmatics, Ireland), and Fernando de Miguel Alberti (Remoteo, Spain), who debated the challenges and opportunities of digitalizing vehicle access.

Hands-On Technology – Platform in Progress

Technical demonstrations allowed attendees to experience live innovations, including the aftermarket solution flinkey, enabling vehicles to be locked and unlocked digitally – independent of the manufacturer.

The response was overwhelmingly positive.
