The new plant in Ostrov, covering an area of 27,000 m², was built in close proximity to our existing site. At this location, we focus on the production of painted outer door handles, optimizing logistics and production processes across our Czech sites and creating synergies between locations. This expansion will create up to 350 new jobs—additional positions will be added through the expansion of our spare parts center at our Nejdek facility.
The new hall meets the highest environmental standards. It features heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, heat recovery solutions, and efficient water management. The infrastructure is also equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles. The entire project is aimed at achieving a BREEAM certification for new construction at the “Excellent” level—an unmistakable sign of our ecological responsibility.
The new plant is also managed by Ing. Jiří Šamša, Ph.D., who took over the management of the Ostrov and Nejdek plants on September 16, 2024. Jiří Šamša brings extensive experience in modern production management, technical development, and the automotive industry as a whole. His proactive approach to new technologies and his instinct for market needs make him an ideal leader for this new phase of our growth.
This step further strengthens our position as a technology leader in the field of mechatronic locking systems and underscores our identity as a reliable, responsible, and long-term partner to our customers and business associates.
